Our Hunter Valley Wine Tours were born through a love of the Hunter Valley and the beautiful wines that the region is famous for.

Discover the beautiful Hunter Valley as you spend your day at hand selected wineries being guided through their offering in private tastings. Each Winery we visit has been hand selected to ensure that you are made to feel special and welcome, whilst enjoying some of the finest wines that the Hunter Valley show cases.

Hunter Valley Wine Tours - Wine D Road Tours

Travel between wineries in air conditioned comfort, stopping for a beautiful restaurant lunch and some Hunter Valley Cheese tasting.

We pick up and drop off from your accommodation and our numbers are limited to 13 passengers to keep our Hunter Valley Wine Tours personal.

Hunter Valley Wine Tasting Tours & Transfers

Hunter Valley Wine Tours with wine tastings and restaurant lunch $210 per person and includes:

  • Pick up and drop off at your accommodation (please note that surcharges may apply for pick ups outside the Pokolbin, Cessnock, Rothbury, Branxton, Maitland regions).
  • Visit 4-5 pre booked, hand selected wineries.
  • Private group tastings at each winery with allocated winery staff.
  • All tasting fees included in the tour price.
  • Restaurant lunch included (includes alcoholic beverage with your meal).
  • Visit local cheese and chocolate.
  • Small boutique tours. Maximum 13 people.
  • Payment is required to secure your tour Visa/MC or Amex accepted over the phone or online.

Booking Terms and Conditions

We offer Trip protection for an additional 10% of your tour price. Purchasing Trip Protection allows you to cancel or reschedule your tour at any time for any reason up to 30 minutes prior to your tour start time. You will be reimbursed for the full amount of each ticket, less the cost of trip protection and processing fees. Please let us know if your would like to purchase trip protection.

No refunds will be provided without Trip protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our bus is filled from multiple bookings until we reach a total of 13 people. This keeps our tours small and boutique.

A tour will operate with a minimum of 2 people. If there are only 2 seats booked, that’s awesome – you get a private and really boutique tour.

If you would like a completely private tour for 2 or more, please contact us as additional charges will apply.

No, we do not offer transfers to Sydney.

However Sydney customers can catch a train to Maitland and we will pick up and drop off at the train station.

We don’t recommend that you drink and drive.

Our tours run year round and are not affected by weather.

All wine tasting at the wineries are included. Tour lunch includes a glass of wine, beer or softdrink.

No. Wineries are licensed venues and really not ideal places to bring your children. Should you have no choice but to bring your children along, we will take children if you book a private tour.

No.

Yes, when you purchase your wine we will label your wine with your name and we will store it safely in the bus for you.

We will store your wine for you safely in the bus and then return it to you when we drop you off at your accommodation. Most wineries will also ship your wine for you direct from their cellar door if you need to.

There is no set schedule of wineries. Our tour guide will take advantage of the best winery experiences available on that day, including special events, to make sure you get the most value on your tour, have an enjoyable day and maximise your taste time of the Hunter Valley.

As we offer guided tours of the Hunter Valley, each Winery we visit has been hand selected to ensure that you are made to feel special and welcome, whilst enjoying some of the finest wines that the Hunter Valley show cases. If you would like to choose your own wineries, we suggest that you book a shuttle service for the day, rather than a guided tour.

Because we know the area and try to take you to wineries where you will receive a better experience going with us then if you went on your own. We choose wineries that are:
– Boutique,
– Excellent wines,
– Warm & friendly service,
– Perks available (cellar tours, barrel-tasting, wine-maker available, etc.)

We have an awesome menu to choose from that includes vegetarian and Gluten free options.

Please note that lunch is included on every tour. We do not offer the option of a full day Hunter Valley wine tour without lunch.

Our lunch venue is renowned for their large portions.

No you don’t, however they are showing you their product and giving you an hour of their time. It is considered “etiquette” to make a purchase at each winery. Please note that we do not receive a commission or bonus from the wineries that we take you to, and they do not receive money from the cost of your tour.

Tastefully separate and secluded our Romantic Hunter Valley accommodation ensures ultimate privacy for your stay. You can enjoy your complimentary bottle of Hunter Valley wine as you sit in the outdoor spa and soak up the views of the valley, or study the stars at night.

The outdoor spa is absolutely luxurious and will ease away all the aches and stresses of modern day living.

The cottages have a comfy lounge area with cosy wood fire with firewood provided for the indoor fire from the beginning of May through to the end of September.
